Are you an experienced sports coach looking for a route into education? Do you want to work in an secondary school in Rotherham?

Due to a restructuring of the staffing team at our partner secondary school, Teaching Personnel are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Sports Coach from Easter 2019. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent PE Graduate or experienced Sports Coach to start their journey within an educational setting.

  • Full time Sports Coach post from Easter (Part time hours available for perfect candidate)
  • Earn up to £375 per week, paid weekly in arrears (dependent on previous experience)

Teaching Personnel, the market leader of education recruitment, are working with our client secondary school in Rotherham who were graded 'Good' by Ofsted in their most recent inspection. With a little fewer than 1200 students enrolled from the surrounding areas, this large and oversubscribed academy is just a short drive from the parkway and is accessible through a number of public transport options.

"Our school prides itself on the outstanding education it offers all its students, ensuring that our 21st century learners are young people who have the opportunity to strive for personal excellence. We deliver an education that provides the opportunity for our students to build on their strengths, overcome their weaknesses and develop into intelligent, confident and respectful members of society." Headteacher.

As a Sports Coach at our client secondary school, you will assist the PE department in delivering specific sport lessons including both practical and theoretical elements of the curriculum. There will also be opportunities to deliver extra-curricular sessions both during school time and after school. Experience of a range of different sports is highly desirable but not essential. Previous work in a secondary school is also not essential, as there will be many transferable skills from other roles and previous experiences.
