 PE Teacher – Specialist SEN School

Whitefield – M45 

Full-Time Role | Immediate Start Available

A specialist secondary school is seeking an enthusiastic and resilient PE Teacher to deliver engaging and structured physical education lessons on a full-time basis.

The school supports pupils with additional needs and places a strong emphasis on physical activity as a tool for engagement, behaviour management and confidence building.

About the role

You will be delivering PE across KS3 and KS4, adapting activities to suit a wide range of abilities and needs. The role involves encouraging participation, building confidence and promoting teamwork and positive behaviour through sport.

You will be working with pupils who may require additional support with behaviour and emotional regulation, so the ability to create structure and build strong relationships is essential.

Responsibilities

• Delivering engaging PE lessons tailored to pupil needs
• Encouraging participation and teamwork
• Supporting behaviour through structured activity
• Promoting physical wellbeing and healthy lifestyles
• Working closely with support staff within lessons

Requirements

QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching PE or delivering sports-based sessions
• Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
• Ability to engage and motivate pupils
• Full-time availability

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
