Due to an upcoming maternity leave, our client secondary school in Oldham are looking to secure a skilled, enthusiastic PE teacher to join them prior to Easter on a full time basis.

The position is expected to start prior to Easter, but the school have the capacity to wait until Easter for the most suitable candidate.

Highlights of the position;

* Maternity cover, expected to continue until end of academic year and beyond

* Full time PE teaching timetable

* Excellent facilities in modern secondary setting

* Earn in line with your teaching scale point for duration

* Work in an Ofsted graded Good secondary school

Situated north of Oldham town centre, our client secondary is a hub of the local community and is firmly the school of choice for a large number of students and parents due to a positive track record in recent years and being graded as 'Good' by Ofsted in their most recent inspection. The school has continuously been above the LEA average for both Progress 8 and Attainment 8 scores in recent years, with a high standard of teaching throughout encouraging a strong climate for learning. The new setting has encouraged attendance to rise well above the national average and students are keen and willing to learn.

Whilst working at our client secondary school, the incoming PE teacher will take on a full teaching timetable for the duration, and will plan and deliver practical and theory sessions for both core PE and GCSE groups. The school has a number of on-site provisions for sporting activities to enhance the learning experience of students and encourage participation in lessons whilst promoting a healthy lifestyle.
