Job Opportunity: Secondary PE Teacher – Short-Term Contract with Long-Term Potential

Are you a passionate and motivated Physical Education (PE) Teacher looking to make a real impact in a secondary school setting? We are seeking a dynamic and inspiring PE teacher to join one of our partner academy schools on a short-term contract through the end of the summer term—with strong potential for a permanent role starting in September.

✅ Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across KS3 and KS4

Promote physical health, well-being, and team spirit through sport

Plan and teach structured lessons to students of all abilities

Monitor and assess student progress using a range of methods

Manage classroom behavior to maintain a positive learning environment

Support whole-school and departmental initiatives to raise achievement

Fulfill the role of Form Tutor, providing pastoral care and guidance

Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and school leadership
About You

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education

Excellent classroom management and behavior strategies

A passion for motivating and inspiring students to reach their potential

A team player who values collaboration and continuous improvement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
