Teacher of Sport – Immediate Start (Until October Half-Term, Potential Extension)
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Teacher of Sport to join our teaching team on a temporary basis, starting immediately. The role will run until the October half-term, with the strong possibility of extension for the right candidate.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional with a background in delivering BTEC Sport programmes. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and supporting learners to achieve their goals both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching across a range of BTEC Sport units, ensuring lessons are engaging, inclusive, and tailored to meet learner needs.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress in line with course requirements.
- Provide constructive feedback and academic support to help learners develop confidence and achieve their potential.
- Contribute to the positive learning environment by promoting professionalism, teamwork, and enthusiasm for sport.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain excellent standards of teaching and learning.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in delivering BTEC Sport courses at further education level.
- A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- Strong subject knowledge across key areas of sport, exercise, and fitness.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to supporting learners from a wide variety of backgrounds.
Start Date: Immediate
Location: Leyland, Lancashire

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
