Teaching Personnel have partnered with a high performing secondary school in the East Sussex who are seeking a PE Teacher who shares the same core beliefs and values of the power of physical education and its lifelong effects on their students as they do. The role would be to teach PE to pupils in Key Stages 3 and 4, This is a long-term position to cover a maternity leave starting from March2024 or sooner.

The Head Teacher who we have a great relationship with and the Senior leadership team prides themselves on the not only the growth of their students but of their staff as well. Training is provided through a bespoke programme which will be tailored to meet your needs. They have been very successful in training new teachers and teachers in their early years.

The school are looking for an outstanding Teacher of PE who is able to deliver high quality lessons, the PE department is extremely well resourced, with state of the art facilities and several new activity and Astroturf areas. PE is taught to all pupils across all year groups and many pupils also study the Edexcel BTEC Sport course during Key Stage 4. There is a great commitment from pupils towards PE within the school. A wide variety of extra-curricular activities take place early in the morning, at lunch time and at the end of the college day. Many pupils are enthusiastic to participate in these.

The successful applicant will be creative, well organised and will actively assist in the further development of PE within the College, contributing to the vibrant programme of extra-curricular support provided to all pupils. The post is suitable for fully qualified teachers who have a proven track record of inspirational teaching.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
