Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a secondary school in Clapham to recruit a dedicated and experienced Pastoral Support Officer for a part-time role (Mondays and Wednesdays).
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about student wellbeing, behaviour support, and safeguarding who is looking for a flexible working pattern within a supportive school environment.
About the Role

Providing pastoral support to students across KS3–KS4
-
Supporting students’ emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement
-
Working closely with Heads of Year, SEN staff, and safeguarding leads
-
Managing behaviour incidents and supporting restorative approaches
-
Monitoring attendance, punctuality, and student progress
-
Building positive relationships with pupils to support their development
-
Liaising with parents/carers where appropriate
-
Part-time role – Mondays & Wednesdays
-
Opportunity for short-term or ongoing placement
Essential Requirements – Please Read Carefully
✔️ Experience working in a pastoral or behaviour support role within a UK secondary school
✔️ Strong understanding of safeguarding and student wellbeing
✔️ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
✔️ Ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively
✔️ Confident working with students with diverse needs
✔️ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
