Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them thrive both academically and personally? We are seeking a dedicated Pastoral Manager to join our dynamic team at a secondary school in Blackpool.

About the Role

As a Pastoral Manager, you will play a vital role in promoting the welfare, attendance, and personal development of students. You will work closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, and external agencies to ensure every child feels safe, supported, and ready to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on pastoral care and wellbeing across the school.
  • Manage behaviour and attendance strategies to ensure high standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to students facing social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to coordinate support.
  • Contribute to safeguarding and child protection procedures.

About You

  • Experience in a pastoral or student support role within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Resilient, empathetic, and committed to improving outcomes for young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
