Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with complex needs?
We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join an exceptional school from September 2025.
Pupils, aged 4–19, have severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties. Many require support with movement, communication, and personal care, and they thrive in a calm, structured, and nurturing environment.
The Role
Working closely with experienced teachers, therapists, and support staff, you will:

Support pupils' learning through play, sensory activities, communication strategies, and mobility programmes

Provide 1:1 or small group support tailored to individual needs.

Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom.

Assist with personal care, feeding, and physical support, where required.
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants with a nursery or early years background, as the skills of empathy, routine, sensory engagement, learn through play and flexibility often translate well to the environment.
You should also have:

A positive, playful, patient, and compassionate attitude.

The ability to follow direction but also use initiative.

Some experience with SEND
-
A strong commitment to teamwork and safeguarding.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
