Position: Part-Time Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Wigan (WN3)
Contract: Temporary, Part-Time

A vibrant primary school in the Wigan area is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide part-time classroom and small-group support. This is a great opportunity to make a positive difference to children’s learning and development while enjoying a flexible working pattern.

*Located close to the M6 and accessible via public transport, the school also offers free on-site parking for staff *

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to pupils in lessons and during focused intervention sessions.
• Work alongside the class teacher to help deliver engaging and well-prepared activities.
• Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain a safe, welcoming learning environment.
• Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and pupil supervision.

Candidate Requirements:

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or an equivalent recognised certificate).
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience of working with children in a primary education setting.
• Flexible, proactive attitude and genuine passion for supporting young learners.
• Awareness of safeguarding procedures and commitment to pupil wellbeing.
