Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable, and dedicated Primary School Teacher to join our supply team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator seeking flexible working arrangements while making a positive impact on children's learning and development.

You will deliver engaging lessons across the primary age range, maintaining high standards of teaching and learning whilst creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Location: Burnley
Salary: £130 - £150 per day

Contract Type: Supply / Temporary
Working Pattern: Part-Time, Flexible
Start Date: Immediate / September 2026

Join Our Team as a Part-Time Supply Primary School Teacher

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Provide a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
  • Follow lesson plans provided by the school and adapt teaching where appropriate.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress during lessons.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Ensure the wellbeing and safeguarding of all children.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide feedback to the class teacher or school leadership team.

About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching within a primary school setting.
  • Be confident teaching across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and/or Key Stage 2.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills.
  • Be flexible, reliable, and able to adapt quickly to different school environments.
  • Have strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Be committed to raising standards and supporting every child to achieve their full potential.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Recent experience teaching in a primary school.
  • Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
  • Excellent safeguarding awareness.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
