Part-time SEN TA's required in Blackburn

Date posted : 12/11/19
£9.50 - 9.55 per hour

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Our client school in Blackburn have asked us to source SEN Teaching Assistants on a part-time basis.

The working hours will be 11:30am - 1:30pm, Mon-Fri, and your role will consist of supporting pupils during busy lunchtime periods with toileting, feeding and changing. You may also be asked to supervise on the playground or assist with indoor activities when the weather isn't suitable.

The school caters for pupils aged 4-18 and you must be confident in working across all age groups as you could be requested to move around the school, depending on where there is a staffing shortage / requirement.

You will ideally have experience or an interest in supporting young people with SEN including Autism, Complex Needs, Physical Difficulties, Down Syndrome, ADHD, Global Learning Delay etc.

Working with Teaching Personnel can open doors to a permanent job, based on the relationship we have with this specific school. Here at Teaching Personnel we are committed to finding you a long-term / permanent role and do so by sending your profile to a high number of schools (within an ideal travelling radius of your home) and by providing day-to-day supply opportunities which expose you to schools and allow for you to showcase yourself in order to secure a permanent position. This is an excellent way of securing a role, as opposed to simply sending your CV to a school for a role, as it gives you direct access to the school and allows you to prove that you are an excellent candidate for their environment!

We work in partnership with a number of schools who use us specifically for their permanent recruitment and this could be an excellent opportunity to secure your next role.

Opportunities can be on a full-time or part-time basis and we work with you to ascertain your perfect role!

Please send a copy of your CV ASAP if you wish to be considered for SEN Teaching Assistant roles.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
