Maths Teacher – Part Time (3 Days per Week)
Immediate Start | Poole | Mainstream Secondary School

Are you a passionate Maths Teacher looking for a flexible part-time opportunity within a supportive secondary school environment?

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Poole to recruit a Maths Teacher for an immediate start. This is a part-time position (3 days per week) with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

This opportunity would suit a qualified teacher seeking flexibility, a better work-life balance, or someone looking to gain further experience within a supportive school setting.

The Role

The successful candidate will primarily work with small groups of Year 8 students, delivering engaging and accessible Maths lessons tailored to varying abilities and learning needs.

The remainder of the timetable will include:

  • Dedicated planning and preparation time
  • General supply cover across the school when required

This varied timetable offers an excellent opportunity to build relationships across the school community while maintaining a manageable teaching load.

The Ideal Candidate

The school is seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable educator who:

  • Holds QTS or relevant UK teaching qualifications
  • Has experience teaching Maths at secondary level
  • Is confident managing small groups and differentiating learning
  • Can build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Is flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to different classroom environments
  • Has strong behaviour management skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
