Part-Time KS2 Teacher

A school in BD6 require a KS2 Teacher starting after Christmas on a part-time basis until the end of the academic year. If you are available and have experience of KS2 teaching then this could be the job for you!

A year 5 teacher is away on long-term sickness and so the school are looking for someone to take that class from Monday to Wednesday. The school are willing to accept NQTs for this role provided they have some experience of KS2 teaching, and a desire to stay in KS2. There are some children in the class with challenging behaviour, and although there will be TAs present, a strong confident teacher with good behaviour management would be ideal.

An enthusiastic and engaging teacher is preferable, who can occupy the whole class and keep them interested in the lesson. The school staff will provide a strong support network for any teacher coming into the role, especially from the in-house member of staff that will teach the class on Thursdays and Fridays.

The school is above national average for SEN children, which is reflected in this class. Experience of working with SEN children in mainstream education or experience in SEN schools would therefore be extremely valuable, as the teacher will have to work closely with the SENCO to plan and track the progress of SEN children in the class.

This role is full-time with a competitive salary, with relevant PPA time allocated.
