Job description

A thriving and inclusive secondary school in Salisbury is seeking a motivated and energetic Physical Education Teacher to join their dedicated team from September. This is a full-time position teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to be part of a department that places a strong emphasis on participation, personal development, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4, covering a range of sports and physical activities

  • Support students in developing physical fitness, teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship

  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of extra-curricular clubs, fixtures, and events

  • Monitor and assess student progress, setting clear targets and offering constructive feedback

  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed during all activities and lessons

  • Contribute to whole-school initiatives promoting wellbeing and active living

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • A degree in Physical Education or a related field

  • Experience teaching PE at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)

  • Excellent organisational skills and a proactive attitude

  • Ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students of all abilities
