Online Intervention Teacher

Local Authorities across Teesside are searching for candidates to work with pupils online to provide catch up and additional academic support to young people who are not accessing mainstream education currently. Primarily the focus will be within English and Maths, however some time in sessions may be dedicated to other areas where pupils have fallen behind.

You will be working on a 1:1 basis with a pupil with SEN, LAC and various other needs. You must have at least 6 months experience carrying out tuition and ideally some of this will have been online, similarly you must have access to internet and a computer to carry out the sessions. It is key for the successful candidate to be confident responding to challenging behaviour, have good behaviour management and an ability to build relationships with pupilsl. We are searching for someone with a patient nature and passion for working with young at risk pupils. Whilst some resources will be provided for you, you must be willing to put together programmes and effectively plan sessions as well as liasing with the pupils school. You could be working with between 3-4 students throughout the week at various times, mostly within school hours however there may be occasional evening sessions.

This role will commence as soon as possible pending the referals and will be held on this basis until Christmas. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
