We are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic Nurture Support Assistant to join our dedicated team in creating a safe and supportive environment for pupils who need a little extra help to flourish.

Nurture Support Assistant – Primary School

Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour
Start Date: As soon as possible

About the Role:

As a Nurture Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to:

• Support children with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
• Deliver targeted interventions in small groups or 1:1 settings.
• Help pupils develop confidence, resilience, and positive relationships.
• Create a nurturing space that promotes emotional regulation and wellbeing.
• Monitor progress and contribute to individual support plans.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

• Has experience working with children in an educational or care setting.
• Understands the principles of nurture and inclusive education.
• Is calm, empathetic, and able to build trusting relationships.
• Can work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
• Holds relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Childcare, or equivalent) – desirable but not essential.
