We are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic Nurture Support Assistant to join our dedicated team in creating a safe and supportive environment for pupils who need a little extra help to flourish.
Nurture Support Assistant – Primary School
Location: Colne
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour
Start Date: As soon as possible
About the Role:
As a Nurture Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to:
- Support children with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Deliver targeted interventions in small groups or 1:1 settings.
- Help pupils develop confidence, resilience, and positive relationships.
- Create a nurturing space that promotes emotional regulation and wellbeing.
- Monitor progress and contribute to individual support plans.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with children in an educational or care setting.
- Understands the principles of nurture and inclusive education.
- Is calm, empathetic, and able to build trusting relationships.
- Can work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Holds relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Childcare, or equivalent) – desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
