We are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic Nurture Support Assistant to join our dedicated team.
About the Role
As a Nurture Support Assistant, you will work closely with children who may need additional emotional or social support to access learning. You’ll be part of a small team delivering targeted interventions, supporting pupils in our nurture group, and helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive atmosphere across the school.
Location: Ramsbottom
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour
Start Date: Monday 1st December 2025
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of nurture group sessions and individual interventions
- Build trusting relationships with pupils to help them feel safe and valued
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
- Monitor and record pupil progress and wellbeing
- Contribute to a warm, welcoming and inclusive school culture
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with children, ideally in an educational or care setting
- Understands the principles of nurture and child development
- Is empathetic, resilient and able to build strong relationships
- Can work flexibly and respond calmly to challenging situations
- Holds relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning – desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
