Nursery Practitioners – Flexible Summer & Term-Time Opportunities

Dorset | Flexible Hours | Full-Time & Part-Time Roles Available

Teaching Personnel is looking for enthusiastic and caring Nursery Practitioners to join our team for flexible work across Dorset.

We work in partnership with a wide range of nurseries and mainstream primary schools, offering rewarding opportunities throughout the summer and into the new academic year. Whether you're looking for extra work over the holidays or hoping to secure a long-term role in education from September, Teaching Personnel can help you find the perfect position.

The Role

As a Nursery Practitioner working with Teaching Personnel, you'll have the opportunity to support children across a variety of Early Years settings, including nurseries, pre-schools and mainstream primary schools.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting children's learning and development through engaging, play-based activities.
  • Creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.
  • Assisting with daily routines, including mealtimes, outdoor play and personal care where required.
  • Supporting children with their social, emotional and communication development.
  • Working closely with nursery teams and primary school staff to provide the best possible learning experiences.

About You

We're looking for individuals who:

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (or have relevant experience working with children).
  • Have experience in a nursery, pre-school or primary school setting.
  • Are passionate about supporting young children's development.
  • Are reliable, adaptable and enjoy working in different educational settings.
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
