SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time | Year 6 | Bournemouth | September Start

One of my lovely mainstream primary schools in Bournemouth is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. This is a full-time, long-term position supporting a child in Year 6 on a 1:1 basis.

The school is looking for someone who can provide consistency, encouragement and a calm, nurturing presence throughout the school day. You'll be helping a pupil access learning, build confidence and feel supported as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.

This isn't just about supporting learning—it's about building trust, celebrating progress and being someone who can make a real difference every single day.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
• Be patient, caring and able to build positive relationships.
• Be confident adapting to the individual needs of the child.
• Work well alongside teachers and the wider SEN team.
• Be committed to working full-time from September.
