EYFS Teaching Assistant – Nursery

Location: Lytham St Annes
Pay: Competitive daily rate, 14.25 per hour 
Contract: Full-time / Part-time opportunities available
Start Date: Immediate start for summer term, continuing into September

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming nursery setting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about early years education and enjoys helping young children thrive in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

The successful candidate will join a supportive team, working with children aged 0–5 years to promote their learning, development, and wellbeing throughout the summer period, with the opportunity to continue into the new academic year from September.

Key Responsibilities

• Support children with their learning and development through play-based activities.
• Assist the Nursery Practitioners and EYFS team in delivering engaging and creative learning experiences.
• Encourage communication, social skills, and emotional development.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
• Support children with personal care where required.
• Observe and report on children's progress and achievements.
• Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Experience working with children in a nursery, preschool, or EYFS setting.
• A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
• A relevant childcare or Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.
