Level 2 or Level 3 EYFS Practitioner – Lancaster Primary Schools

Location: Lancaster
Start Date: September 2026

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit passionate, caring, and proactive Level 2 or Level 3 EYFS Practitioners to support a range of friendly and supportive primary schools across Lancaster from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are enthusiastic about early years education and want to make a genuine impact during the most important stages of a child’s development.


About the Role

In this role, you will play a key part in nurturing young learners, supporting their development through creative, play-based learning, and helping to build strong foundations for their future education.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting children aged 3–5 within EYFS settings
  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons
  • Encouraging learning through play in line with the EYFS framework
  • Supporting children’s social, emotional, and academic development
  • Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
  • Observing and monitoring children’s progress

✅ What We’re Looking For

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or EYFS (essential)
  • Previous experience working in a nursery, EYFS, or primary school setting
  • A sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • A nurturing, patient, and positive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
