EYFS Teaching Assistant – Lancaster & Surrounding Areas (September Start)

Location: Lancaster and surrounding areas
Start Date: September

About the Role

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking enthusiastic and nurturing Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools and nurseries in Lancaster and the surrounding areas, starting in September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young children at the very start of their educational journey. You will play a key role in creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment for children aged 0–5.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging EYFS lessons and activities
  • Assist with the development of communication, social, and motor skills
  • Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support where required
  • Observe, monitor, and record children's progress
  • Support children with personal care where necessary

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience working with children in an EYFS setting (school or nursery)
  • A caring, patient, and supportive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for early years education

Qualifications

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 EYFS qualification is desirable, but not essential for candidates with relevant experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
