Early Years Teaching Assistant (Level 2/3) – Garstang & Great Eccleston

Location: Garstang & Great Eccleston
Start Date: September 2026

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting enthusiastic and nurturing Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistants to support a number of welcoming primary schools across Garstang and Great Eccleston from September.

This is a brilliant opportunity for individuals with a passion for early years education who are eager to play a key role in helping children thrive in their first stages of learning.


Your Role

You will support young learners within EYFS settings, helping to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences that support their early development.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting children aged 3–5 in EYFS classrooms
  • Assisting with the delivery of fun, engaging, and play-based activities
  • Encouraging development in line with the EYFS framework
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment
  • Contributing to observations and progress tracking where needed

✅ What You’ll Need

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or EYFS (essential)
  • Experience working in a nursery, preschool, or primary school setting
  • A strong understanding of early years development
  • A warm, patient, and proactive approach
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
