Job Role – Teaching Assistant

Key Stage – Early Years

Working Pattern – Part-time, 08:00 – 18:00 with 1 hour lunch break, 3 days per week

Contract Type – Temporary

Pay Scale - £11.85 - £13.00 per hour

Teaching Assistant Job Summary

We are seeking to appoint an energetic and enthusiastic TA to work on a part-time basis in a private nursery in Chorley.

We are looking for someone with initiative and a willingness to become an active member of the nursery’s friendly and professional team of staff, where meeting the individual needs of each child is their highest priority. The successful candidate will be required to work alongside other Early Years practitioners, Room Leaders and the Nursery Manager. Experience of supporting children from 0-5 years is a must.

The successful candidate will have:

-          A relevant Level 3 qualification or above

-          A minimum of two years’ relevant experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting

-          Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

-          A good understanding of safeguarding children

-          High quality planning, annotation and recording skills

-          An ability to work on their own initiative and to be self-motivated

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
