Nursery and Reception Teaching Assistant- DARWEN

The role will be to start after the October half term holidays (Lancashire School Holidays)

The working hours are not confirmed but the school will be looking to utilise a candidate for 30 working hours a week

The school is currently graded GOOD by Ofsted and works in partnership with other schools locally to support and develop teaching and learning as well as leadership.

The Head teacher is looking to meet and appoint an EYFS experienced Teaching Assistant to work with small groups and individual children in the AM- Nursery and PM- Reception class. The school are expecting the role to continue until the end of the year, with the possibility of continuing further into the next academic year. The Head teacher is keen to meet individual candidates before the end of this week and will only meet candidates who have prior experience with the Early Years Curriculum and Objectives. It is important that the applying candidates have a Level 2 or above qualification and can produce evidence of the experience in Early Years.

The school is situated in one of the more socially deprived areas of Darwen, Lancashire and so the Head teacher will also be keen to learn about your experience working alongside children with behavioural needs and special educational needs. You will be expected to manage behaviour in line with the school's strict behaviour policy. This has been used effectively to manage some of the most challenging children in the local area.

To apply for this role you must be completely registered with Teaching Personnel. This means you will need to go through the process of registration with the agency. This involves having a DBS on the update service, two graded references from your most recent employers and other administration documents completed. The process is quick and efficient and you can easily be vetted within the week to ensure you are in with the chance of securing this role.

Before applying for this role then you will have to have the following;

-EYFS experience

-Level 2 or above qualification in Children and Schools

-Availability after the Easter holidays to work for 30 hours per week

-Availability to meet with the Head teacher in preparation for the role starting
