Regular supply work in an Improving Primary School.

Work every day in the same school across a range of year groups

Deliver the planned work or deliver your own work

Teaching Personnel are working exclusively with a School in the heart of Nelson, to supply teachers on a regular basis. The school are larger than average and with this they have a number of supply days to cover through sickness, course cover and staffing appraisals. As the school are working in partnership with Teaching Personnel, in order to work in this environment you must be fully registered with the agency and pass the full vetting registration process. The process involves an initial conversation with the East Lancashire consultant; a face to face interview; followed by the completion of your references and DBS.

The school in Nelson are currently improving and so they are keen to allocate time for their staff to undergo a range of professional development courses to upskill and improve teaching and learning. This opens a range of opportunities for the supply staff with Teaching Personnel to gain regular work and good experiences in a school working with a number of challenging children. The school are always keen to meet new supply teachers as well as asking for the 'regular teachers' to come back who are on the 'good list'. If you are newly or fully inducted, then there are the same amount of opportunities in this school.

The school in Nelson, not only ask Teaching Personnel to provide staff on a short term basis, but will also come to the agency with teaching vacancies for longer term roles. There is currently a member of staff who covered a days supply in October and hasn't been in another school since, she has been asked to work in school until Christmas 2018. PERFECT!

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
