Head of Music, for October 2017 on the Isle of Wight

The School is a Roman Catholic School on the Isle of Wight who are seeking to recruit a Head of Music to start in October 2017 or January 2018. This is an exciting time to join the school as they are in the process of receiving a complete new building, with the first phase being handed over in October 2017 and completion planned for April 2019.

The schools are seeking to appoint an outstanding musician, experienced teacher and inspirational leader to develop music across the School at this particularly exciting time in their development. Music is central to their Christian ethos, valued for its contribution to the curriculum and essential to the broader enrichment of our students' education. This is a wonderful opportunity for an ambitious and highly motivated teacher with a passion for music to lead the further development of music, bringing new ideas and determining future plans as we move into our brand new school with exceptional facilities, talented students and their warm, welcoming community. For suitably skilled and experienced candidates, there is an opportunity for the role to develop to that of Director of Music and Performance which would be part of the schools Extended Leadership Team and attract a higher TLR.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and a full enhanced DBS check will be required in addition to a face to face meeting with the recruiting consultant.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
