Job description

 

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a high-achieving secondary school in Salford to recruit an experienced and passionate Music Teacher to join their successful Music department from March 2026.

  • Full-time, Monday – Friday.
  • Paid in line with the Teacher Pay Scale (M1-UPS3)
  • Full planning and marking responsibilities

The head of Music is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Music teacher with a track record of excellent classroom practice. You will take on a full timetable teaching KS3 and KS4 classes and so it is essential that you are able to teach across varying abilities.

You will plan and deliver enriching lessons covering the Music curriculum that engage learners. You will also assess student progress against set targets and set new learning goals which motivate learners.

Teacher requirements:

  • Hold QTS and a PGCE specialising in BMusic or Performing Arts 
  • Experience teaching History to students aged 11-16
  • Strong classroom management
  • A commitment to providing high quality teaching and learning experiences.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
