Job description

Music Teacher – Secondary School

Location: Hartlepool
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full‑Time, Temporary – until December

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Hartlepool to recruit a dedicated Music Teacher for a full‑time role, starting as soon as possible and running until December.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate music specialist to make an immediate impact within a supportive school environment.

The Role

  • Deliver Music lessons across KS3 and KS4 on a full‑time basis
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress
  • Encourage enthusiasm for music through practical and theoretical learning
  • Maintain strong classroom management and high expectations

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds QTS (or equivalent UK teaching qualification)
  • Experience teaching Music in a UK secondary school
  • Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom presence
  • Reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic
  • Available for an immediate start

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
