We are working closely with a special needs school based in Ealing who are looking to appoint a two Music Teachers to teach music to small classes of autistic learners. There are two full-time teaching positions available on two sites in Southall and Acton which provides bespoke learning and therapy programmes for children across the spectrum.
The school has two sites in Southall and Acton and is well known for the autism training they provide teachers and innovative utilisation of music and performing arts throughout the school. The school is also celebrated for specialist support provided to schools and organisations across the United Kingdom.
Music Teachers will have full access to the amazing music facilities and resources for children with autism throughout the school alongside trained autism specialist teaching assistants to support in lessons. Teachers will plan and deliver 1:1 and small groups music lessons across KS3 – KS4 classes and be expected to assess, record and report progress of pupils in music lessons.
Some pupils will be non-verbal, display challenging behaviours, have limited speech and learn below national level (P scales). Having confidence adapting music lessons for children with special needs (or an EHCP statement) will be vital.

If you are a QUALIFIED MUSIC TEACHER (QTS/PGCE) with experience in any of the following send your CV today:
- Planning and teaching music lessons in UK based schools
- Secondary School music teaching
- Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties, challenging behaviours, Sensory impairments and/or speech difficulties
- Use of sensory and visual resources such as PECS, TEACCH, Makaton etc
- De-escalation training such as Team Teach or Positive Behaviour Support
All Music Teachers interested in this position in EALING must be willing to interview prior and provide relevant documentation, qualifications, and references to work in this Special Needs School.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
