Modern Foreign Languages Teacher (Spanish) – Tameside

Contract: Full-time, maternity cover (2 terms)
Salary: MPS/UPS – £32,916 to £51,047 per annum

A supportive and well-led secondary school in Tameside is seeking a Spanish Teacher to cover maternity leave from September. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality MFL lessons across KS3 and KS4, with a clear focus on student outcomes and cultural engagement.

Role Includes:

• Teaching Spanish to Years 7–11 (Edexcel or AQA)

• Encouraging cultural understanding through events and language clubs

• Contributing to the MFL department’s scheme of work and assessment design

Essential Criteria:

• QTS with specialism in Spanish (French or German an advantage)

• Up-to-date knowledge of the MFL national curriculum

• Experience using a communicative, student-centred approach to language learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
