Modern Foreign Languages Subject Lead

A well-established secondary school on the South Coast (Gosport) is seeking an exceptional and motivated individual to take on the role of Subject Lead for Languages during a period of maternity cover.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and inspiring teacher to lead a highly regarded Languages Department, known for its dedicated staff and engaged students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and effective management of the Languages Department across KS3, KS4, and KS5.

• Drive excellence in teaching and learning, ensuring consistently high standards and outcomes.

• Support and develop staff to achieve professional growth and departmental objectives.

• Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school and sixth form.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for language education.

• Proven leadership skills or clear potential for middle leadership.

• The ability to inspire colleagues and students alike.
