A school in Preston, Lancashire are looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team which aspires to raise the aspirations and wellbeing of the young people within their school. The school’s ethos is based on building relationships between staff and students in order to help the pupils achieve to the best of their ability.
The school are looking for a candidate which has experience within an SEN setting, preferably experience with children with Speech and Language difficulties, Autism or SEMH. The school caters for KS3 and KS4 pupils and uses a variety of teaching styles to suit the individual needs of each pupil. The school caters for children a diverse array of learning difficulties and additional challenges; the majority of their students need additional support with their language and cognition (SLD, MLD, GLD).
Many children who attend school have previously been excluded and spent time outside of education. Many of whom are disengaged and are not wanting to paricipate.
The working hours are 8.30am to 3.30pm Monday-Friday.
Rate of pay will be dependent on experience and will start from GBP10 p/h
