Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of young minds and inspire the next generation of mathematicians? We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic secondary maths tutors to join our team of tutors across Newcastle upon Tyne!
Position: Secondary Maths Tutor
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Rate of Pay: £25 to £35 per hour
Job Type: Part-Time (Term Time)
Role and Responsibilities:
As a secondary maths tutor, you will play a vital role in guiding students through their mathematical journey. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality maths tutoring sessions to students at the secondary level.
- Providing personalised support and assistance to students, catering to their unique learning needs.
- Creating interactive and stimulating sessions.
- Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback via our learning platform
- Instilling confidence and self-belief in students, motivating them to overcome challenges.
- Collaborating with fellow educators and staff to enhance the overall learning experience.
Requirements:
- UK recognised QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Valid DBS (A Child Workforce certificate that is accessible through the Update Service) or willingness to obtain one
- Eligible to work in the UK (right to work in the UK documentation)
- A strong background in mathematics, preferably with a degree in Maths or a related field.
- Previous experience in teaching or tutoring maths
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students effectively.
- Enthusiasm for education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on young learners.
- The ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
