Maths Tutor
Job description
Use Your Maths Skills to Change a Child’s Future
Specialist SEN Maths Tutors wanted – TP Tutors
For many students, Maths has become a source of anxiety rather than achievement — not because they lack ability, but because they’ve never had the right support.
TP Tutors is looking for passionate Maths teachers and tutors to work 1:1 with SEN students outside of mainstream education. You’ll support learners with autism, ADHD, dyscalculia, and other additional needs, helping them rebuild confidence and develop problem-solving skills at their own pace.
This role isn’t about racing through content or chasing grades. It’s about helping students understand why Maths works, celebrating small breakthroughs, and turning fear into confidence. Through personalised, relationship-led sessions, you’ll help pupils experience success — often for the first time.
Every session is a chance to change how a student feels about Maths.
Why this role matters
You’ll support students who may have disengaged from Maths entirely and help them re-engage with learning in a way that feels safe and achievable. You’ll see confidence grow as understanding clicks, and you’ll make an impact that extends far beyond the numbers.
What you’ll bring
- Experience teaching or tutoring Maths
- A patient, encouraging, and adaptable approach
- Confidence supporting students with SEN, including dyscalculia, autism, ADHD, or related needs
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Relevant qualifications (QTS desirable, not essential)
- DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one
Why join TP Tutors
- Flexible hours and locations to suit your lifestyle
- A supportive, experienced team who value your expertise
- Access to training and professional development
- Meaningful work where your impact is clear and measurable
If you’re a Maths teacher looking for flexible work with real purpose, this is your opportunity to help students rebuild confidence and succeed.
Apply today and help a student realise they can do Maths.
