Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit a Math Graduate for one of our key partner secondary schools that is located in Derby for September 2020.

This secondary school seek to appoint a Maths Graduate for a full-time position where the incoming member of staff will be required to work closely with the schools' Maths Department to ensure that lessons operate smoothly and that students within the school receive an excellent level of education.

• Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant and 1:1 Support responsibilities
• Full-time role starting in September 2020

This exciting position is available for someone who now wishes to gain further experience within a secondary school environment ahead of completing a teacher training course in the future.

The successful Maths Graduate will ideally be employed from September 2020 on a temporary basis for the remainder of the academic year. Training and CPD opportunities will be provided by Teaching Personnel and the school.

The Head of Maths seeks to appoint a Maths Graduate in order to support the schools Maths department, alleviating pressures from teaching staff and raising attainment. In return the Head of Maths will be committed to the development of the successful staff member and supporting them in their ambition of teaching.

Responsibilities that this position will include:

• General Teaching Assistant duties – Supporting the main class teacher ensuring lessons operate smoothly
• Providing lesson cover where a teacher is absent – This will be fully supported by the school
• Delivering tuition sessions to students on a 1:1 and group basis
