Maths teaching assistant position in Manchester

  • September start, full time initially for one term

Teaching assistant (Maths specialism)

A secondary school in south Manchester are looking to hire a Maths teaching assistant to work with their large Maths department in the new academic year. This is a full time position, previous experience tutoring or working as a teaching assistant in Maths is desirable.

***Maths teaching assistant, working within a schools Maths department

***Full time position starting in September 2017, initially temporary

***Initially employed via supply (earn up to £300 per week – Mon to Friday)

***Modern school with great facilities in south Manchester area

***Ideal experience and position for future MATHS TEACHERS

Situated in a diverse community of Manchester, this is a RC faith orientated secondary school with a focus to improve results in Maths (English and Science). As a Maths teaching assistant, you will work closely with members of the Maths faculty, supporting teachers throughout lessons and delivering focused activities to small groups looking to improve in Maths. Previous teaching assistant experience is desired, if you have a strong academic background in Maths and see working in education as a future for you, this could be ideal.

This Maths teaching assistant position is initially being offered on a temporary basis via “supply” for one term, with the possibility of extending for the full 12 months/academic year. You will need to have suitable references and a DBS (or be eligible to apply) to be considered.
