Maths Teaching Assistant - Tameside

  • Pay up to £65 per day
  • Working within a supportive Maths department
  • First hand teaching experience

Maths graduate required for Tameside Secondary School in September. The school are looking for an aspiring Maths teacher who has outstanding subject knowledge and passion for Mathematics.

This Maths teaching assistant post will be full time on a long term supply basis to at least April 2018. It will be well suited to a Maths graduate looking to commence a PGCE or teacher training programme for Mathematics in September 2018.

The role will consist of varying responsibilities so you must adopt a flexible approach and show a willingness to learn. You will be working within the schools Maths department supporting full class Maths teacher in addition to supporting students on a small group and 1:1 basis.

Currently the school achieves just below national averages with 48% of students achieving a grade A*-C in their GCSE results. Their will be an expectation for the successful Maths teaching assistant to make a significant impact on the Maths department ensuring progress 8 targets are achieved.

Situated in the SK14 post code of Tameside the school is within a mile of the M67 and has train, bus routes close by. With interviews and trial days commencing in June you will need to attend these to be considered.
