Maths Teaching Assistant – St Neots
September 2021
This Academy is currently looking for recent Maths Teaching Assistant to join the St Neots based school. The successful applicant will be supporting both the teacher and students in the classroom as a general assistant. You will be placed within a department to support as a mentor for students who specifically need more support with Maths.
Graduates with a Maths related degree are encouraged to apply. This role is due to begin at the start of September as the new academic year starts.
Key aspects of the TA position:
- Pay will be dependent upon experience but range between GBP375 - GBP475 per week dependent upon confirmed hours and experience in this area
- Any experience of mentoring, tutoring or supporting young people is highly desirable.
- Opportunity to gain more experience and assist at a supportive secondary school in St Neots
- TA required on a full time basis from 2nd September at the latest
As part of this graduate role, you will be given the details of specific students who require dedicated assistance and mentoring. You may be tasked with providing small group intervention, working with identified students in supporting them with relevant subject material and tutoring them in their subjects. There will the chance to work with students of all ages and ability, including KS3 and KS4 (years 7 – 11, aged 11 – 16). If you have any specific experience tutoring or in supporting young people, please highlight this on your application and CV as this will be highly desirable to the school.
This school is situated in St Neots with easy access from Cambridge and surrounding areas. The school is set in very pleasant surroundings boasting fantastic facilities within the local area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
