Teaching Personnel
Teaching Personnel is recruiting passionate and adaptable Maths Teachers to support students in a range of specialist educational settings. This is a unique opportunity for educators who want to deliver meaningful learning experiences to pupils with additional needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

About the Role
As a Maths Teacher working with Teaching Personnel, you'll play a crucial role in supporting students who may have found mainstream education challenging. You'll be delivering tailored Maths lessons designed to re-engage learners, build confidence, and support progress at an individual pace.

SEN Schools: Providing specialist education for pupils with a range of complex learning needs including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and cognitive learning delays.

Alternative Provisions: Offering creative and flexible approaches for students who cannot access mainstream education due to behavioural or emotional barriers. These settings focus on nurturing personal development as well as academic achievement.

Pupil Referral Units (PRUs): Supporting pupils who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream schools, with a strong emphasis on pastoral care, reintegration strategies, and core subject delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Planning and delivering differentiated Maths lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students

Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment

Working closely with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement effective strategies

Managing classroom behaviour positively and constructively

Monitoring progress and adjusting teaching strategies to support each learner’s development
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
-
Experience teaching Maths, ideally in SEN/SEMH or alternative education settings (preferred but not essential)

A flexible and resilient attitude, with a strong desire to support vulnerable learners
-
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
-
A commitment to inclusive and trauma-informed education
