Full time Maths teacher required to fill a temporary position in South Sheffield Secondary School.

This opportunity is to start after May half term and we have been advised by the school that there is an opportunity for the position to go permanent for the correct candidate.

The successful candidate will be teaching maths up to Y11 and a GCSE level too. The school is a large secondary school and offers brilliant support for their staff within the department. You will be joining a team delivering the curriculum to a high standard and building on previous success.

The successful candidate will be expected to take on full departmental responsibilities, including lesson panning, delivery, marking, feedback and taking part and engaging in staff meeting sessions.

Some highlights of this position include:

  • Full time Maths Teaching position, initially temporary but with the option for a permanent contract
  • Teaching Maths to years 7-11 including GCSE level
  • Full departmental responsibilities including lesson planning, marking and staff/ department meeting participation
  • Wages based on Teachers Pay Scale -MPS-UPS

To be considered for this role you will have to have the relevant qualifications and checks. Including QTS, suitable school references with no safeguarding concerns, experience teaching secondary school maths and a fully enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
