Are you a Teacher of Mathematics looking for a new role after the school year restarts?

Teaching Personnel are preparing for the reopening of schools and may be able to provide you with the ideal role!

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, we have been asked by multiple schools to begin recruiting for positions that will need to be filled after the schools reopen. This will be a mixture of longer and short term placements as specific Teachers will have either moved into retirement or will be faced with having an extended period of absence, such as for pregnancy or medical conditions. As a result, we are looking for Maths Teachers who will be searching for a new role when the schools do reopen.

Expectations of the Role

  • An ideal full time position for either a NQT or FQT looking for a long-term position
  • You will be required to teach Maths to secondary school pupils between the ages of 11-16 years (KS3 – KS4)
  • Preparing and planning for lessons with marking required
  • Following and promoting the school curriculum and pushing for highest attainment
  • Pay between GBP120 - GBP170 per day for the first 12 weeks of the role (after 12 weeks: AWR rate, paid to the scale the school would pay at directly)
  • Due to start as soon as the schools reopen following Government advice

Requirements for the Role

  • Must have QTS and experience teaching Maths to GCSE
  • The ability to teach KS5/A-Level is not essential, but is advantageous
  • Willingness to take on some intervention groups and booster sessions
  • Strong behaviour management with experience working with SEN pupils a preference
  • Will have excellent subject knowledge and a desire to provide the best education to pupils
  • Will be required to apply for a Child Workforce DBS, if you do not already have one on the update service

As the largest and most adaptable staffing agency in education, Teaching Personnel will be fully prepared and in the best position to find you the ideal role for you when schools do come back. If you want to stand the best chance of finding a role for yourself, registering with TP could be the key to unlock your next step in education.
