Maths Teacher needed in Stockport based secondary school.

Our partner school in the Stockport area have advised us they’re looking to hire a Maths teacher on a full-time basis from September 2021. The role will be long term and permanent.

Candidate requirements for this position:

• Qualified Teacher Status in the UK (QTS)
• Experience teaching maths up to KS4/ GCSE level in UK secondary schools
• Experience carrying out full departmental responsibilities as part of a teaching role
• School based references with no safeguarding or disciplinary concerns
• Child workforce DBS certificate on the update service/ eligibility to apply

The successful candidate will work to a timetable teaching maths to classes in years 7-11, introducing younger students to new concepts whilst simultaneously guiding GCSE students to achieve their academic potential. The new maths teacher will be expected to carry out full departmental responsibilities as part of the role such as lesson planning, marking, engaging fully in staff meetings and liaising with parents/ carers/ guardians.

The school itself is a modern and high achieving secondary school in the Stockport area, with an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ that they are hoping to increase upon the next inspection. The new maths teacher will join a strong department of 14 dedicated specialists.
