Maths Teacher (January Start)

  • Full time Maths teaching role
  • KS3 and GCSE level teaching in a 'Good' School
  • Weekly pay with daily rates of up to £187 (depending on experience)

A medium-sized and 'Good' (rated by Ofsted) Secondary School in the Huddersfield area of West Yorkshire are seeking to appoint an excellent teacher of Maths starting in January 2016.

The role would be full time and you would be teaching KS3 and GCSE pupils. Students achieve generally average/above average results and have an excellent attitude to learning and progressing within the academic studies. Therefore, the successful candidate must have creative and engaging teaching skills, with a proven track record of raising attainment and aiding progression.

The Maths department is well-established and you will have the opportunity to get involved with creating resources and implementing changes in the curriculum. Due to the recent changes with Progress 8 this is an exciting time for the department and they are keen to ensure the progression of all pupils and meet the new targets.

The school are happy to consider newly qualified teachers as well as more experience fully qualified teachers, however it is essential that you have recent teaching experience of Maths at KS3 and KS4.

The school is based just a stone's throw from the M62 and is therefore easily accessible from across West Yorkshire and areas of Oldham/Rochdale. There are also regular bus links to central Huddersfield for those traveling by public transport.
