A school in Stockport is looking for a motivated Maths teacher to join the teaching staff. This position is on a temporary basis, with potential for the role to be extended. The requirements for this position are as follows:

  • The required individual must hold QTS.
  • A degree in Maths is very desirable.
  • Experience working within the secondary school sector is essential.

The expectancy of the school is as follows:

  • The required applicant will need to be able to differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students (including those with SEN)
  • Being able to manage school curriculum, as well as create engaging lessons plans designed to ensure that students are able to thrive within the subject.
  • Be able to provide additional provision for KS4 students, with the aim of ensuring that every student has the opportunity to meet their target grade.
  • Work with students on an individual level, as well as on a group basis, to best allow students to develop their overall ability within the subject.
  • Provide consistent feedback to subject leaders, senior leaders, as well as parents and students whenever necessary.
  • To be able to manage any pastoral issues that may arise, as well as potentially having a form group in the mornings.
  • To be able to understand the common difficulties associated with Maths as a subject in general, and to be able to provide quick solutions ot problems faced by students.

The role will begin after the Easter break, and will commence for 1 term until the end of the academic year. There is potential for the position to be extended further into the new academic year.

  • Located in Stockport, just a short distance away from Manchester city centre.
  • The M60 motorway is located very close by.
  • There are multiple public transport links also located within close proximity of the school itself.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later
