A dynamic and forward‑thinking secondary school in Weymouth, Dorset, is looking for an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their successful and supportive department. About the Role

As a valued member of the Maths department, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, well‑structured Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Teach a curriculum that promotes confidence, problem‑solving, and a genuine enjoyment of mathematics
  • Use assessment effectively to identify student needs and tailor your teaching accordingly
  • Create a positive classroom environment where every learner feels supported and able to succeed
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance and develop the Maths curriculum
  • Contribute to wider school life, including extracurricular and enrichment activities

Who They’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A qualified Maths Teacher with QTS (or an ECT nearing completion)
  • Confident teaching KS3 and KS4 Maths
  • Strong in subject knowledge with excellent communication skills
  • Committed to delivering high‑quality, engaging lessons
  • Reflective, open to feedback, and a collaborative team player
  • Able to build positive relationships with students of all abilities

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
  • Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
