Maths Teacher – Secondary School – Weymouth – September 2026 Start – Paid to Scale

A respected secondary school in Weymouth is looking for a qualified and motivated Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This full-time position is suitable for both experienced teachers and strong ECTs who are looking to complete their induction in a positive, encouraging environment.
The Role:
· Deliver engaging, high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
· Plan, assess and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners
· Support students to develop confidence in numeracy and problem‑solving
· Work collaboratively within a successful and forward‑thinking Maths department
· Participate in whole‑school initiatives, CPD, and extracurricular opportunities
Key Details:
· Location: Weymouth, Dorset
· Start Date: Septemeber 2026
· Contract: Full‑time, permanent or long‑term
· Salary: In line with the Main Pay Scale / Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS)
Ideal Candidate:
· Holds UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
· Experience teaching Maths up to GCSE level
· Strong subject knowledge with effective teaching practice
· Committed to helping pupils of all abilities achieve their full potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
