Pay rate: £160-£220 (MPS/UPS) 

About the role: 

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in the Walsall area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to teach and inspire students while delivering high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will be committed to helping students achieve their full potential and fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.

What you'll be doing:

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons in line with the school curriculum

• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback

• Maintain high standards of classroom management and student behaviour

• Develop students’ problem-solving, reasoning, and numeracy skills

• Contribute to the school’s wider educational and pastoral initiatives

• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support school improvement

• Attend staff meetings, parent evenings, and professional development sessions as required

What were looking for: 

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Maths

• Proven experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)

• Strong classroom management and organisational skills

• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students and staff

• DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one. 

• Passion for teaching and the ability to inspire and motivate students

• Flexibility, reliability and commitment to ongoing professional development
