Maths Teacher
Location: Walsall
Start Date: ASAP/ January 2026
Pay rate: £160-£220 (MPS/UPS)
About the role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in the Walsall area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to teach and inspire students while delivering high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will be committed to helping students achieve their full potential and fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.
What you'll be doing:

Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons in line with the school curriculum

Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
-
Maintain high standards of classroom management and student behaviour
-
Develop students’ problem-solving, reasoning, and numeracy skills
-
Contribute to the school’s wider educational and pastoral initiatives
-
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support school improvement
-
Attend staff meetings, parent evenings, and professional development sessions as required
What were looking for:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Maths
-
Proven experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)
-
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
-
Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.

Passion for teaching and the ability to inspire and motivate students

Flexibility, reliability and commitment to ongoing professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
