Job description

A fantastic secondary school in Oldham is seeking a fully qualified Maths Teacher to join their thriving team as soon as possible. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, challenging, and inspiring Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4. You will be responsible for planning, teaching, and marking, ensuring students make excellent progress while developing confidence and a love for the subject.

What We're Looking For:

A Maths Teacher who can bring enthusiasm, energy, and creativity to the classroom, along with:

  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach concepts clearly and confidently
  • Engaging and dynamic teaching style that motivates learners of all abilities
  • Excellent classroom management and the ability to create a positive learning environment
  • Adaptability and the ability to differentiate effectively for diverse learners
  • Strong behaviour management with a calm, consistent, and supportive approach
  • Commitment to student progress, assessment, and high academic standards
  • Collaborative mindset, working well with colleagues within the Maths department
  • Resilience and professionalism, particularly within a busy secondary school setting
  • Organisational skills, ensuring planning and marking are completed to a high standard

You would be paid inline with your teaching scale point (M1 – UPS3) £168.80 – £261.78 per day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
